Florent Coirier (b. 1983, Nantes; based in Paris) is an independent designer whose work bridges simplicity, functionality, and meaningful expression. Trained at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres and later at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design (BIAD–BCU), he graduated with distinction in 2005. After returning to France and working with leading agencies, Florent founded his own studio in Paris.

Studio Florent Coirier design practice is focused on product design, art direction,  lighting, and furniture. Founded in 2015, the studio develops thoughtful, timeless objects that combine industrial precision with a poetic sense of function and form.

Awards :



The studio's work has earned international recognition, including an IF design award for Geometry in 2024, a Red Dot Design Award in 2019 and the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in 2018. It was also selected by VIA as one of the 100 designers contributing to the influence of French design on the global stage.

The studio  has collaborated with a wide range of international brands including brands, like EMU (IT), Serralunga (IT), Modular Lighting Instruments (BE), Toou (CH), Inclass (ES), Habitat (FR), and Ligne Roset (FR). The studio develops products grounded in a deep understanding of industrial processes, working closely with manufacturers at every stage. A constant exploration of form through materials and technologies is central to the design approach, with the aim of creating products that increasingly respect our environment and anticipate the needs of tomorrow’s lifestyles.
